Are Center-Cut Chews Safe? The truth is YES! But it does depend on how the chews are cut. Some of our competition are claiming split chews are not safe and are a waste of money or a scam. This is untrue here. We charge by the pound so no scam here and yes splits are lots more work but just because some companies don't want to do the extra work of splitting antler correctly is no reason to claim they are a bad deal. Obviously, you cannot just split any chew, if the antler is not sufficiently thick, you can potentially have problems with splits, so be careful where you buy them. We are conscious of this potential risk and do not split thin antlers, therefore our split chews are are cut from antlers of proper thickness and are as safe as any whole chew when used properly.
